Calculate your plate size

The growing size of our plates is partly responsible for overeating. It is proven that you will eat more from a larger plate. The space on your plate does not grow in linear but in exponential fashion – e.g. a plate 20 cm/8 in diameter does not provide twice, but 4.5 more surface area than a plate of 10 cm/4 in diameter.

Calculate your hip/waist ratio

In the past 50 years, the waist circumference of the adult population in the developed countries grew disproportionately to other parts of the body. Waist to hip ratio is not only a beauty marker, but is also a better indicator of metabolic health than BMI. Women’s waist to hip ratio should, ideally, be near 0.7, men’s close to 0.9.
